iGaming has been my not-so-secret passion for the past 10 years. With over 8 years working in this industry, I held almost every position under the sun, allowing me to successfully oversee the different departments and facets of daily operations at Pokiesworld.
What I do?
- Develop and direct current SEO strategies with an emphasis on authentic experiences.
- Ensure that all of our content follows ethical guidelines and promotes responsible gambling.
- Explore the iGaming market for new developments, trends, and news to keep Pokiesworld in touch with the times.
- Control content relevance and monitor our position in the site rankings.
- Hire new talents, manage finances and other daily operations.
How did I get into the gambling sphere?
- I first got interested in gambling back when I was studying at the Universitat de Barcelona. It wasn’t something I did regularly, and at that time gambling wasn’t even legal in many European countries. Still, there were already tons of casino ads and paid reviews all over the internet.
- I saw my friends losing quite a lot of money chasing “great bonuses” and “sure wins.” It hit me – most people simply don’t understand how it all works, and they lose. I thought the information could be presented much better – honestly, professionally, and without all the usual marketing nonsense.
- I started with a small blog, and slowly real readers began showing up. After a couple of years, I realized that gamblers actually really need trustworthy and useful information. Pokiesworld was built on.
What are my rules or guidelines for creating content?
- Yes, at Pokiesworld we strictly follow the E-E-A-T principles. We only publish articles that are genuinely expert-level – written by people who have actually tested the casinos and games themselves.
- For us, the content isn’t just a typical marketing slop that mindlessly praises brands, but a real, in-depth analysis. Otherwise, we’d be no different from the thousands of shady sites out there trying to deceive people.
- We have one unbreakable rule at Pokiesworld – always put yourself in the player’s shoes. Our writers have a lot of experience in the industry, they aren’t regular high-stakes gamblers. But we create content specifically for people who play seriously and often. Everything we publish has to be thoroughly checked, truly useful, and honest.
What is the most important thing for me in a team?
- Professionalism and the ability to get straight to the point. Many writers focus too much on making their texts sound promotional, often leaving out important details – especially those that might be uncomfortable for the brand.
- The most important thing is to stay professional and honest. The market constantly changes, but players’ needs stay the same. People need content that shows both the strengths and the weaknesses of a casino. If you remove one side, it either turns into cheap advertising or a hit piece.
💫 My motto:
"Honesty is the best policy."
💬 My advice for newbies:
"If something is too good to be true, it’s probably not real."
